Floor Coatings for St. Charles Homes

Elephant Floor Solutions installs garage floor coatings, basement and living-area floors, and exterior concrete finishes for homeowners across St. Charles and the surrounding area. We are tied to no single product — epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurea, or a decorative finish — so the work begins with picking the right floor for you: your slab, your space, and how you use it.

Before any system goes down

Every installation starts with the work you never see. Each slab receives our 26-point inspection — including moisture testing, detection of existing sealers and surface contamination, and full crack and joint mapping — before any system is specified. The floor is then diamond-ground to the concrete surface profile the chosen coating requires for a true mechanical bond, and cracks and spalls are repaired with structural fillers rated for movement. This is the discipline that separates a coating that lasts a few years from one that lasts decades, and it is the one phase we never compress.

Bonded and insured. Backed by our workmanship warranty.

1 DAY UV POLYASPARTIC SYSTEM

Most floors take your garage hostage for a week. This one doesn't. It's a full polyaspartic system — pigmented polyaspartic base, full decorative chip broadcast, clear polyaspartic topcoat — which is what makes it both fast-curing and UV stable. Most spaces are back in service the next day, the color holds in direct sun, and the low-VOC formulation means no lingering fumes in a space attached to your house. Gloss standard; satin and non-skid available.

2-DAY DECORATIVE FLAKE SYSTEM

The workhorse. A clear polyaspartic topcoat over a full decorative chip broadcast and a pigmented 100% solids epoxy base — roughly 60 mils of build that handles hot tires, dropped tools, road salt, and oil, and wipes clean instead of staining. The epoxy body is what gives the system its thickness and depth; the polyaspartic top is what keeps it UV stable and hard-wearing. Chip blends are chosen to suit the space — cabinets, trim, whatever the room is going to be. Gloss standard; satin and non-skid available.

METALLIC EPOXY SYSTEM

OFFICES

The one people stop and look at. Metallic pigment is moved through clear resin by hand while it's still wet, so the pattern forms in place and no two floors come out the same — depth like poured stone, in whatever palette suits the room. Sealed under a satin topcoat that adds traction for socks and bare feet, it resists most household stains and cleans up in a pass. Interior spaces — basements, living areas, entryways, showrooms.
